Evacuation Chair Train the Trainer Course Syllabus
A course designed specifically for those who have been, or will be appointed to teach the duties of Evacuation Chair use to other members of staff.
The course content consists of a theory session covering key areas such as, legislation and risk assessment followed by a practical side which covers use of the equipment. The objective is for all delegates to gain confidence in their ability to operate the equipment and train others.

After completing the course the delegate will:
Have a basic understanding of the relevant regulations affecting the people who have difficulty with mobility
Be able to prepare the equipment ready for use
Manoeuvre the equipment to the escape route and down the stairs
Use of the equipment and its restrictions
Use of the equipment and the ability to operate it
Confidence and understanding so that your fire warden/marshall and dedicated buddies can provide assistance to the mobility impaired - enabling them to reach a place of safety in the event of a fire or other emergency.
On completing the course, all successful delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
The course is conducted on your site and lasts for approximately 2 hours.
Maximum number of delegates per session is 4.
